How It Works

Four modes. Two targets. 4000 for the AFL, 750 for the AFLW.

The Idea

Draft a starting 18 of AFL players. Every player carries their AFL goals, but you do not see the number until you pick them. Add up your 18 and try to reach 4000.

The Team

You fill 18 spots on the oval: 6 backs, 6 midfielders and 6 forwards. Players can go into any line they are listed for, so a midfielder who also played forward can fill either. If a player fits more than one open spot, you choose where they go.

The Modes

ModeHow you draftTo winWildcards
4000+Roll 3 players, pick 1Full 18 on 4000 or more1 of each
Exactly 4000Roll 3 players, pick 1Full 18 on exactly 4000. Under or over is a miss.Paid only, one of each
Team SpinChoose a line, then spin a season and club and pick from that squad in that lineFull 18 on 4000 or more1 of each
AFLW 750+Roll 3 AFLW players, pick 1Full 18 on 750 AFLW goals or more1 of each

In Team Spin you choose the line first, before the club and season are revealed, so you are locked in. If nobody from the squad you land on plays that line, the game spins again for you.

Wildcards

Wildcards come with a free CAST Profile: one of each per game, or two of each with CAST Pass. Guests see them locked until they sign in. A free CAST Profile also adds an extra reroll every game. Exactly 4000 is Hard Mode: no free wildcards for anyone, CAST Pass included, but you can use one of each a game from your Vault or buy it on the spot.

Legends

Now and then in 4000+, one offer is a Legends Pick: three of the game’s elite goalkickers, every one with 500+ career goals, from Gordon Coventry and Tony Lockett to Buddy Franklin. You get one at most per game, and a player who has fallen well behind late in a game is sometimes thrown one as a lifeline. Your 18 can hold one Legend, however it gets there.

Legends keep their goals hidden like everyone else, and they count their whole VFL and AFL careers. They only appear in 4000+.

The Rules

Where the Numbers Come From

Goals count AFL premiership games from 1990 to now, home and away and finals. Preseason, State of Origin and International Rules games are not included. Legends in 4000+ are the one exception: they count their whole VFL and AFL careers. AFL data comes from AFL Tables, and every player since 1990 is in the game, including players who never kicked a goal.

AFLW 750+ counts AFLW premiership goals from 2017 to now, including finals. AFLW data comes from AFLW Stats.
